Terms
the app
Lightmeter is an iOS app published by Aakash Goel. These terms cover the app, its widgets, and this website at shotonlightmeter.com. By using either, you agree to them.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Lightmeter on Apple devices you own or control, under the App Store terms. You may not reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the app or its film looks.
film looks
The looks in Lightmeter are our own recipes, modelled on how analog film responds to light. They are not products of, licensed by, or affiliated with any film manufacturer. Names of real stocks, where they appear in the app, are descriptive references to the emulsions those recipes are modelled on.
your photos
What you shoot is yours. Frames stay on your iPhone. We do not host, licence, or claim your pictures. You are responsible for how you use them, including any people in them.
the website
If you join the waitlist, you ask us to email you about Lightmeter (a TestFlight invite, and later the App Store release). You can withdraw that by writing to goelaakash79@gmail.com.
no warranty
Lightmeter is provided as-is. A meter reading, a film look, or a geotag can be wrong. We are not liable for missed shots, lost photos, or anything you do with the app. If the law where you live does not allow this limit, it applies only as far as that law allows.
changes
We may update the app and these terms. The date at the top of this page is the current version. If you keep using Lightmeter after a change, you accept it.
