iPhone model, iOS version, and what you were doing when it went wrong. A screenshot from Settings → Lightmeter (the permission switches) helps if camera, photos, or location is the issue.

Camera is required to meter and to shoot. Photos is required to save frames and to open them in the gallery. Location is optional — deny it and the app still works, just without geotags on new shots.

Change any of these in the iPhone Settings app, then Lightmeter.

There is nothing to reset. No login, no cloud, no purchases inside the app. If a shot is already in Photos, it stays there even if you delete Lightmeter.
